Welcome to an idea whose time has come.

If you're a lapsed clarinet player or if you haven't dusted off your trombone since college, this band is for you.
If you're local to Manotick, strapped for time, got kids and need an evening out with like-minded players, this band is for you.
Your euphonium skills need a push, but you know you can get it back with a bit of practice: this band is for you.
Life sidelined your sax a few years back, but you might be able to spring a couple of hours one evening a week, then this band is for you.

However...

If it throws you off your game when the oboe misses her cue and you secretly think she ought to have put a few more hours of practice in this past week, then maybe there's a band somewhere else with more to challenge your skills.
If the 15 minute break is a great chance for you to sit by yourself and get your fingers around that wild Grainger lick, maybe there's a pro-quality band somewhere else you can be more comfortable with.
If it seriously irks you that the second clarinet is flat again, the third week in a row, and he's probably doing it because he's just a half-hearted amateur, then there is definitely somewhere else you'll prefer to be playing.

Because...

The Manotick Community Concert Band is all about carving 2 hours out of your week to have a great, relaxing rehearsal with no big judgements on your skills.
It's all about touching base with other Manotick'ers and having a laugh at the crazy snowfall and Minto construction soap opera.
It's all about having fun!

Please browse this site for answers to your questions about the MCCB. We're not off the ground yet, and the site is still under construction, but interest is growing and soon, Manotick - Ottawa's best kept secret - will be making some good sounds with some great people.

Welcome, and enjoy!
